8/18/22: This announcement has been a long time coming and it's finally here! I've expanded my online presence. Now yours truly (Rebel Studios) can be found on Viewbug. I've already explained what Viewbug is in one of my more recent blog posts and I encourage all of my fellow photographers to try it out. And, thanks to Viewbug, Rebel Studios now also has another website. This one is going to be staying put and continuing to provide blog posts, announcements, and generally connect you with me, but now you can also find a complete portfolio of my finished photos that I have submitted into photo contests at www.rebelstudios.pro. Plus, you can also now find me at www.vero.co/rebelstudios as I start to distance myself from Instagram. Check it out and know that each and every one of you that have been supporting me with this, you are appreciated. I'll see you there.
6/19/22: Just touching base with all of you fine folks. I am steadily working towards getting on track with the YouTube channel and the online store while busting my hump to keep building my stock portfolio. It's been crazy, but I'm going to keep this up as long as I can. I've tested a few different new prints and, as soon as I get the online store up and running, will be selling them in 8"X10" semi-gloss formats. More will be added as I build this brand up, but this is at least a start. To promote this new print business, starting now and going until the online store comes online, "Tail Lights" (See this one on the Galleries page) will be available in 8"X10" semi-gloss to anybody who simply reaches out to me through the Contact page. We'll figure out price (no more than $20 per copy will be charged, plus shipping and handling outside of the United States) through there and, if you want, your copy will be signed. This will help me get the online store together as well. Thank you all and I will see you on the other side. Happy Father's Day to all of you dads.
5/8/22: It has been far too long since I've added to this little bulletin board of mine. I have been staying extremely busy with both my photography and my everyday life/job (need to pay the bills somehow). Therefore, I've decided to drop in and leave a few words. I'm continuing to drive hard at my stock photography with a few agencies, but I'm tired of how little I make off of each sale, so I've decided that it is most certainly time to expand my business, and by a lot. To do this I will be concentrating on two major areas. First and foremost, prints. So far I really haven't done too much with this, but now I think it may be time. I am slowly finding different stores in the area of northeast Ohio to sell some prints, starting with Grand Valley Tractor Supply in Orwell, Ohio. In the coming months I will be getting that set up and starting to set up an ecommerce store right here at rebelstudiosnow.com. I'm also on the hunt for freelance work, both here in northeast Ohio and remotely. I am looking forward to growing this business and will keep you up to date right here. Thank you all for your continued support my friends. You mean the world to me. And keep an eye on this announcement board. I'm thinking my channel needs to finally be put to use on YouTube, and then some. Stay creative, stay original, stay yourself, and I will see you on the other side.
3/17/22: Happy St. Patrick's day to all friends and family of Rebel Studios! I'm posting this to announce that the results are in at Photocrowd and "A Shimmering Sunrise" actually placed 15th in the Landscape contest, out of 100 images. This means that we made it to the top 25% and received commendations from photography experts on a job well done! I know that it's just 15th place, but this is our first placing in a contest, with many more hopefully to come in the times to come. Thank you all for your continued support and I will see you on the other side.
3/4/22: It has been way too long since I've touched base with you, my friends. Now that I've established a stock photography portfolio (albeit a small portfolio), now it's time to branch out a bit more. Therefore, I started trying my hand at commercial and product photography. Check out a few of my concepts that I've put together on the Galleries page (which I've changed around a little bit, by the way). I'm also going to start branching out into portraiture and event photography. I know this may be quite a bit to add to my photographic abilities, but this has been part of the plan since day one. Stay tuned to see what I do in these areas. That way you don't miss the announcement for my new secret project as well. But until then, I will see you all on the other side.
1/24/22: I just wanted to stop for a moment and touch base with all of you. 2022 is off with a bang for this photographer so far. I have been buried up to my eyeballs in older photos that I had taken (keep in mind that at the moment, older photos are simply from like the spring of 2021). I've already developed my craft so much that almost every single shot in my archive is making me cringe. However, I need to do this so that I can develop my stock photography portfolios (I just wish it was a little easier to bare). I've also made the decision to bring both of my passions together by writing a new book, but this one will be a beginner's guide to stock photography. I know. I know. I'm still a "beginner" myself, but I have already learned so much about the craft and the point is to also document everything that I learn moving forward as well. These projects will definitely keep me busy (not to mention a collab that I'm yet to announce right now). Just take it easy and keep shooting. And as always, I will see you on the other side.
12/26/21: I hope that every one of you and a fantastic holiday and if I don't post anything else on here beforehand, I wish every one of you a very happy New Year. I will, as everybody else does, be redefining myself in 2022. Well, more like tweaking Rebel Studios. I'm going to keep going with everything (the website, the blog, NFT's, stock photography, etc.), but I'm going to be adding more to it. As of today, I am now involved in the Amazon Associates Affliate Marketing Program. Meaning that I will be recommending gear, especially the ones that I use, through a series of links to help you find photography gear or whatnot that I have found to help make fantastic photos and/or artwork. 2022 is also going to be the year that I finally launch Shutter Speed, Rebel Studios' new YouTube channel. I know that I have been announcing this for months now, but I think that I am finally ready to get this going. Thank you for all of your support and I will see you on the other side.
12/4/21: The next collection is now out there on https://opensea.io. The Sun Sets and Rises collection is my newest collection of NFT's to be minted on opensea and I am excited to release it to the world. I will probably be adding more to this 16 photo collection, but for now it is available for purchase. Additionally, I am happy to announce that Rebel Studios is now entered into a total of four contests for photography. As of today, I am now entered into the Europhotometeo 2022 contest and the Sony World Photo Awards 2022 contest. Wish me luck, send me good vibes, and please say a little prayer for me. I could definitely use it while I wait to find out the results of these contests.
12/2/21: Now that entries have closed down for the 19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Awards, I've turned my sights on the next in line. I am also now entered in the 7th Annual Stewardship Network's Photo Awards, and I am going to keep it going. Please send those good vibes my way everybody. I know I could really use them. Fingers crossed!
11/25/21: Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I have two things to say. First, thank you all for your continued support as I try as hard as I can to grow as an artist and a brand every day. I still have a long (like really really long) way to go, but progress is progress. If you use Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, please visit my page and follow my account. You can find links for those pages in the top left corner (if using a laptop/desktop PC) or at the bottom of each page (on all devices). And second, head over to https://opensea.io and check out my new NFT collection of Abstract Expressionism Photography digital art. I'm excited to announce that I've now put four complete sets on sale through the website.
11/21/21: It's been a little too long since I've been able to come on and reach out to any and all that have visited my site. I was experiencing a whole bunch of issues with family and the internet (when it rains, it pours), but I'm finally back and ready to make today's big announcement: I have been working hard at my first NFT collection and I am almost ready to release them for sale/auction. Stay tuned on Open Sea (https://opensea.io) to see the AEP1 (Abstract Expressionism Photography) collection when I finally release it. Every shot has its own hidden story because I only used a collection of light trail shots to make them, which is and always will be open for interpretation. For a sneak peek of some of the pieces before they go live, please check out my gallery, in the "Abstract" section. Enjoy!
11/3/21: I'm finally getting the YouTube channel up and running. After months and months of trying to figure out how I wanted to do it and what to make videos about, I've finally found the perfect one. Therefore, soon I will be releasing videos teaching about photography as I learn about it. I'll have some videos that are just for things like inspiration sources or just talking, but the main theme will be learning beginner photography from a beginner photographer. I've got a lot of work to do now.
10/30/21: It's finally here! The new site is live! Make sure to keep an eye on these announcements so I can keep you up to date on what is going on.
10/28/21: And now it's official. "Bridging The Gap" has just been selected and will be featured on the Amazing Ohio 2022 calendar, as well as the Amazing Ohio Version 14 jigsaw puzzle.
